WHAT’S NEW AT FUNMI FASHINA FOUNDATION

In her continued effort to create awareness and provide vital information to the public on Multiple System atrophy (MSA), Funmi Fashina Foundation organized a One Day Practical Workshop on Parkinsonism for Health Professionals.

The training objectives of the Seminar are;

  • Recognition of Parkinsonism
  • Differentials of Parkinsonism (specifically identifying red flags for atypical parkinsonism)
  • Multidisciplinary approach to management of Parkinsonism
  • Indications for Physiotherapy and other allied professionals in the management of Parkinsonism patient.

The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Omolara Ojo a renowned Lecturer and Honorary Consultant Neurologist and Dr. U.A.C Okafor also a Lecturer and Consultant Physiotherapists both at the College Of Medicine/Lagos University Teaching Hospital.

 The Seminar took place at the Surgical Skills Training Centre Lagos University Teaching Hospital, idi-Araba Lagos. In attendance were;
